For monitoring the KYZ output of an electrical meter
Accessory to be used with the MT-1/NT9 and MT-1/WT3 testers for monitoring the KYZ output of a meter.
The KYZ accessory is use to perform the KYZ Test. It enables some solid-state meters to transmit energy usage information to another piece of equipment via a physical wire interface. This test mode requires the KYZ Device accessory (model PW-0767) and an Optical Pickup with suction cup (model PW-9073).
The KYZ Device accessory changes the electrical pulses generated by the meter into optical pulses to be picked up by the optical device. The optical pickup is connected to the IO port of the MT-1/NT9 or MT-1/WT3 meter tester and transmits pulses to the device. By using the total energy registered by the internal standard of the MT-1/NT9 or MT-1/WT3 Meter tester and the number of registered KYZ pulses, a watthour / pulse value can be obtained.
