For monitoring the KYZ output of an electrical meter
Accessory to be used with the MT-1/NT9 and MT-1/WT3 testers for monitoring the KYZ output of a meter.
The KYZ accessory is used to perform the KYZ Test. It enables some solid-state meters to transmit energy usage information to another piece of equipment via a physical wire interface. This test mode requires the KYZ Device accessory (model PW-0767) and an Optical Pickup with suction cup (model PW-9073).
The KYZ Device accessory coverts the electrical pulses generated by the meter into optical pulses to be picked up by the optical device. The optical pickup is connected to the I/O port of the MT-1/NT9 or MT-1/WT3 meter tester and transmits pulses to the device. By using the total energy registered by the internal standard of the MT-1/NT9 or MT-1/WT3 Meter tester and the number of registered KYZ pulses, a watthour / pulse value can be obtained.
